Rebranding Octagon History

Nestled along Hudson’s historic Third Street sits one of the few octagon houses in the country. Built originally as a family home, today it is the center of community history. And like any organization, there are concerns about the next generation getting engaged.

Recent efforts to infuse energy into events and private gatherings have created a fresh perspective on connecting with local history beyond traditional tours. This new perspective led us to a more vibrant identity for this iconic organization.

WHAT WE HEARD:

We want a brand identity that reflects our history and helps elevate our story of who we are and what we do.

WHAT WE SAW:

These are the keepers of robust stories. They bring history to life and make it approachable, all while creating a gathering place that is fun for the community and their team.

WHAT WE DELIVERED:

This brand identity positions OHM as the heart of a vibrant community and a center to celebrate history.

We used the aerial view of the roof to create the center yellow octagon, with a community of homes encircling it to create a bloom of color and energy. Each home is a different color to convey the vibrancy of our community and also represents the notable gardens outside.
