An Evergreen Brand for Design Camp

Each year, this annual event is promoted through the work of one creative team from the greater Minnesota area. But between the actual event and promotional seasons, AIGA Minnesota Design Camp® was missing a brand and guidelines that could be used for evergreen materials such as sponsor and speak packets, social promotions to rally volunteers, and even a website.

Following AIGA guidelines, our studio used the north woods to guide us toward this new event brand.


AIGA Minnesota Design Camp will help you:

  • Reset your creative compass.

  • Discover your true north.

  • Create your own campfire story.

  • Rekindle your creative fire.


We created a brand guide to help support the Design Camp volunteers during the in-between seasons, as well as providing some guidance for the teams creating the annual themes and writing the content. The brand guide will help protect the legacy of AIGA Minnesota Design Camp through correct nomenclature and a consistent connection to AIGA Minnesota.

This new brand identity needed strength to exist independently and not overpower the annual creative themes. To test our creative, we applied one-color logos to past creative assets. Each web banner still held their original energy but now had the consistency of the evergreen branding.
